Duty-Free Shops Post Record High Sales by Foreigners in Nov.

Foreigners purchased a record amount of goods at South Korea’s duty-free shops last month.
 
According to the Korea Duty-Free Shops Association Tuesday, the combined sales at local duty-free shops in November posted a record high of just over 938 million dollars.
 
It marks a whopping surge of 40-point-eight percent from the same month last year. Compared to October, it rose by ten-point-five percent.
 
Meanwhile, the number of foreigners visiting the duty-free shops declined by 13-point-two percent to about one-point-32 million. However, compared to October, it marks an increase of seven-point-nine percent.
