Majority of Small S. Korean Firms Optimistic about Next Year

The majority of small South Korean firms expect their sales and operating profits will increase next year.

According to a recent survey of one thousand small firms, 52-point-seven percent of 485 poll respondents said that they expect their sales will increase next year.

Twenty-six percent said next year will be similar to this year, while 20 percent forecast their sales will decrease next year.

The Center for Large and Small Business Cooperation, which conducted the survey, said that the results reflect small firms' positive business sentiment amid expectations for higher economic growth boosted by booming exports.

However, 43 percent of the firms said that business conditions will worsen next year.
