Customers Sue Apple over Slowed iPhones

Customers are filing lawsuits against tech giant Apple after the firm admitted to deliberately slowing down older iPhones to prevent unexpected shutdowns.

Five iPhone users filed complaints against Apple in Chicago last week, calling Apple’s iOS updates "deceptive, immoral and unethical," according to U.S. media.

Similar suits were filed in California and New York.

Apple was also hit by a class action lawsuit in Israel on Monday by two iPhone users, who argued that the company breached its duty toward consumers by concealing information.

Apple is facing class action lawsuits after it announced last week that it deliberately slowed the performance of older iPhones that have a degraded and aged battery to prevent unexpected shutdowns.
