Sales of Imported Hybrid Cars Surpass 20,000 for 1st Time

The number of imported hybrid cars sold in South Korea has surpassed the 20-thousand mark for the first time this year.
 
The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association(KAIDA) said 20-thousand-644 foreign hybrid cars were sold between January and November
this year.  
 
Sales have jumped by whopping 46-point-four percent from the same period last year.
 
Only 56 foreign hybrid vehicles were sold in South Korea in 2006, when the eco-friendly cars were introduced to the country, but their sales have
quickly risen over the years to 16-thousand-259 last year.
 
The proportion of hybrid cars sold in Korea’s imported car market rose from seven-point-two percent last year to nine-point-seven percent as of
November.
