North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says that he will drastically pursue new large projects to develop his country into a socialist power.
Kim made the remark on Saturday during a speech at the fifth conference of cell chairs of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea in Pyongyang.
According to the North's official media Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Sunday, Kim said that what the country has so far achieved is just a beginning. He said the party is planning bold, larger projects for the people and he will seek projects in a more decisive manner.
Kim reportedly called on the party organizations and members to do their utmost on projects aimed at boosting party cells' loyalty and commitment to party policies.
The KCNA said that the three-day conference successfully ended on Saturday. A party cell is a basic unit of the Workers' Party, comprising of five to 30 members. The previous conference of party cell chairs was held in January 2013.
