Kim Jong-un: N. Korea Now Real Nuclear Threat to US

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says no one in the world can now deny that North Korea has emerged as a country posing a real nuclear threat to the United States.

The North's official Korea Central News Agency(KCNA) reported on Friday that Kim made the statement during the opening speech of the fifth Conference of Party Cell Chairs of the ruling Workers' Party in Pyongyang Thursday.

Kim reportedly said that the nation is faced with considerable challenges, but he's not discouraged or afraid, and instead is optimistic about the country's progress.

Claiming that the country achieved the historic task of completing its nuclear force, Kim urged party cell chairs to break down U.S. sanctions and do their best to realize the party's major tasks.

A party cell is a basic unit of the Workers' Party, comprising five to 30 members. The previous conference of party cell chairs was held in January 2013.
