KOSPI Closes Down at 2,429.83 on Thursday

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday fell 42-point-54 points, or one-point-72 percent, to close at two-thousand-429-point-83.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also tumbled 14-point-95 points, or one-point-98 percent, finishing the session at 740-point-32.
Experts attribute the losses to bearish sentiment triggered by expectations that listed companies will see lower margins in the fourth quarter, compared to their third quarter earnings.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency fell one-point-eight won against the greenback to close the day at one-thousand-82-point-seven won.
