S. Korea Likely to Target 3% Growth Next Year

South Korea is likely to set its growth target at three percent or higher next year.

According to sources in the Finance Ministry on Wednesday, the government will unveil its 2018 economic policy next Wednesday, which may target an economic growth rate of three percent or higher.

The country's economic growth is forecast to mark over three-point-two percent this year, if it expands more than point-02 percent on-quarter in the fourth quarter.

If the economy grows more than three percent next year as well, the country would post a growth of over three percent for the second consecutive year, which would be the first since it expanded six-point-five percent in 2010 and three-point-seven percent in 2011.
