ADB Raises S. Korea's Growth Outlook for Next Year to 3%

The Asian Development Bank(ADB) has raised South Korea's growth outlook for this year and next year to the three percent level.

In its revised report on Asian development outlook released Wednesday, the ADB predicted that the South Korean economy will grow three-point-one percent this year and three percent next year.

That's up from two-point-eight percent for both years from its previous forecast in September.

For the 45 economies in Asia, the ADB upgraded its growth estimate to six percent from five-point-nine percent for this year, but maintained its previous outlook for next year at five-point-eight percent.

China's growth outlook for this year was also raised from six-point-seven percent to six-point-eight percent. The ADB kept its outlook for China next year at six-point-four percent.
