S. Korea's Overseas Direct Investment Up 7.2% in Q3

South Korea's overseas direct investment increased over seven percent in the third quarter from a year earlier. 

According to the Finance Ministry on Friday, the country's overseas direct investment reached nine-point-06 billion dollars in the July-September period, up seven-point-two percent year-on-year.

Investment in financial and insurance businesses took up 33 percent of the overall overseas investment, followed by manufacturing, real estate and lease businesses. 

By region, more than 30 percent of the investments went to Asia, followed by Latin America and North America.
