Foreign Regulations on S. Korean Imports Getting Tougher Again

International restrictions on imports from South Korea are strengthening again.

The Korea International Trade Association(KITA) said Thursday that China, Turkey and Australia launched probes into South Korean goods last month in a preliminary move to limit the inflow of South Korean products.

The association said all three countries are looking into imposing antidumping duties on South Korean imports.

As of Tuesday, 193 cases were reported in which South Korean goods were put under import restriction measures overseas or were being reviewed to face such measures.

The U.S. and India are the largest regulators of South Korean products, followed by China and Turkey.
