The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday slipped 12-point-39 points, or point-50 percent, closing the day at two-thousand-461-point-98.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also tumbled fourteen-point-93 points, or one-point-94 percent, to close at 753-point-46.

The losses came as geopolitical uncertainties emerged after U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he'll recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened point-two won against the dollar, closing at one-thousand-93-point-five won.
