South Korea's exports totaled the largest amount ever for the month of November driven by demand for semiconductors and machinery.
 
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Friday that exports came to 49-point-67 billion dollars last month, up nine-point-six percent on-year. 
 
The previous high was 47-point-91 billion dollars in November 2013. 
 
Outbound shipments rose for 13 consecutive months.
 
Exports to China hit a peak for the month of November despite Beijing's economic retaliation against South Korean companies over installing the U.S. THAAD antimissile system. 
 
Imports rose 12-point-three percent to 41-point-83 billion dollars.
