S. Korea's Industrial Output Drops in October

South Korea's industrial output dropped in October from a month earlier on slowdowns in production, consumption and investment.
 
According to Statistics Korea on Thursday, the country's industrial output decreased one-point-five percent last month from a month earlier.
 
Industrial output increased one percent in July, remained flat in August and gained point-eight percent in September.
 
The one-point-five percent drop is the largest since January 2016. 
 
Production in the mining, manufacturing, gas and electricity industries dropped one-point-one percent on-month in October.
 
Production in the service sector also slipped one-point-seven percent, while retail sales dipped two-point-nine percent on-month.
 
Facilities investment plunged 14-point-four percent last month, the largest fall since June 2012, when it fell 17-point-eight percent.
