The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Tuesday gained six-point-38 points, or zero-point-25 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-514-point-19.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ dropped 19-point-68 points, or two-point-48 percent, due to heavy sell-off by foreign investors aiming to gain from a rally in the secondary bourse in recent weeks. It closed the day at 773-point-12.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened four-point-two won against the dollar, closing at one-thousand-84-point-four won.
