KOSPI Closes 0.13% Lower at 2,537.15; KOSDAQ Renews Record High for Year

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday fell three-point-36 points, or point-13 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-537-point-15. 
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ surged, gaining fifteen-point-90 points, or two-point-04 percent. It closed the day at 796-point-80 and renewed its record high for the year. 

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency also set a fresh high for the year, renewing a record set just the day before. It gained three-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-85-point-four won.
