KOSPI Closes 0.39% Higher at 2,540.51; Won Strengthens to Highest this Year

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday rose nine-point-81 points, or point-39 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-540-point-51. 
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell, losing eight-point-48 points, or one-point-07 percent. It closed the day at 780-point-90. 

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency rose its highest level against the U.S. dollar so far this year. It gained six-point-seven won against the greenback to close at one-thousand-89-point-one won.
