FISU Chief George Killian Arrives in S. Korea

George Killian, president of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), arrived Friday in Daegu ahead of this summer's World University Games in the provincial city.
Killian, leading a 15-member FISU delegation, was greeted by Park Sang-ha, head of the Daegu Universiade Organizing Committee.
This year's competition is scheduled to open Aug. 21 for an 11-day run, with 11,000 athletes and officials from a record 175 countries, including North Korea, taking part.
