Lee Family Ranks Second on Forbes' List of Asia's Richest Families

Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee and his family have ranked second on the Forbes list of Asia's 50 Richest Families, losing the top spot to an Indian family.
 
India's Ambani family, which owns conglomerate Reliance Industries, topped the 2017 Forbes' list on Monday with a net worth of 44-point-eight billion U.S. dollars as of November third. 
 
The Lee family, which topped the list in 2015 and 2016, dropped to second this year with a net worth of 40-point-eight billion dollars. 
 
India took up the largest portion of the Forbes list with 18 families making the list, followed by Hong Kong with nine, Singapore with five and South Korea and Indonesia with four each.
