South Korea has slid from number one to number two on the overall rankings of global information and communications technology(ICT) development conducted by the UN's International Telecommunication Union.
 
Seoul's Ministry of Science and ICT shared the outcome of this year's survey on Thursday, where South Korea ranked second in usability, fourth in utilization and seventh in accessibility to ICT technology, to come in second place overall.
 
Iceland took the top spot, due to its larger scale of wire telephone users as well as the number of families with PCs.
 
South Korea topped the survey rankings in 2015 and 2016.
