South Korean finance minister Kim Dong-yeon said he has big hopes for stronger and more cooperative ties between Seoul and Beijing.
 
His remarks came at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Seoul Qiu Guohong on Thursday. 
 
Kim reflected on the recent summit between President Moon Jae-in and Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying that he believes it created momentum to promote affinity and advance relations in all aspects, not only the economic realm.
 
Ambassador Qui expressed similar sentiment, saying that relations between the two countries are returning to normal and that he believes a good relationship can be created from joint efforts by both countries.
