The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday fell eight-point-39 points, or point-33 percent, to close the day at two-thousand-518-point-25.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ surged, gaining eleven-point-57 points, or one-point-53 percent. It renewed its yearly high for the third consecutive day closing at 768-point-03.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened five-point-eight won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-112-point-three won.
