Gas Prices Up for 14th Week on Rising Oil Prices

Retail oil prices in South Korea are rapidly rising in line with increasing global crude oil prices.

According to data provided by the Korea National Oil Corporation on Saturday, the average gasoline price nationwide in the first week of November rose one-point-four won from a week ago to one-thousand-508 won per liter.

Gasoline prices have been on the rise for the 14th week in a row.

Diesel prices also gained one-point-seven won on-week to one-thousand-299-point-seven won per liter, rising for the 15th week in a row.

Gasoline prices were the highest in capital Seoul at an average one-thousand-609-point-one won per liter or 101-point-one won more than the national average.

Gas prices were the lowest in South Gyeongsang Province at one-thousand-483-point-four won.

The National Oil Corporation expects domestic oil prices to rise for the time being as it reflects reduced oil production and inventory in the United States.
