Fed Keeps US Rates Steady

The U.S. Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged on Wednesday as expected.

The Fed left its benchmark interest rate at the range of one percent to one-point-25 percent after its two-day policy meeting.

The U.S. central bank, however, signaled in its statement that it is on track to lift the rate again in December, pointing to solid U.S. economic growth and a strengthening labor market while downplaying the impact of recent hurricanes.

The Fed has raised rates twice this year and currently forecasts one more hike by the end of this year.
