Air Passengers in S. Korea Increase 4.7% in September

South Korea's air passenger traffic increased slightly in September in spite of China’s travel ban on South Korea.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation on Sunday, a total of nine-point-02 million passengers used international and domestic flights last month, up four-point-seven percent from a year ago.

The number of passengers using international flights increased three-point-seven percent, while the number for domestic flights rose six-point-seven percent.

Air travelers using routes to and from China plunged 31 percent in September, while passengers to Japan and Europe jumped over 20 percent, offsetting the sharp decrease in Chinese travelers.
