The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Friday renewed its record high, closing the day at two-thousand-496-point-63. 

The KOSPI surged sixteen points or point-64 percent on foreign investors' purchases.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining nine-point-36 points, or one-point-38 percent. It closed the day at 689-point-97. 

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened five-point-nine won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-130-point-five won.
