Samsung Electronics' Brand Value Doubles in 5 Years

Samsung Electronics is overwhelmingly South Korea's top corporate brand estimated at over 50 billion dollars by a British consulting firm.
 
The firm Brand Finance which specializes in appraising brand value recently unveiled its 2017 list of the 50 most valuable South Korean brands.
 
Samsung's value rose 12 percent to 51-point-four billion dollars this year, marking a twofold growth from 2012.
 
Hyundai Motor came in second valued at eight-point-seven billion dollars while mobile carrier SK Telecom ranked third at five-point-two billion dollars.
 
Samsung's brand value is nearly six times that of Hyundai Motor and ten times that of SK Telecom.
 
Trailing the list is another mobile operator KT Corporation valued at over five billion dollars followed by LG Electronics at five billion and Kia Motors at four-point-nine billion dollars.
