Moon to Meet with Labor Leaders on Tuesday

President Moon Jae-in plans to meet with the representatives of the country’s main labor groups on Tuesday to discuss pending labor issues.

The presidential office revealed on Monday that labor group leaders, including the heads of the country’s two umbrella labor unions, were invited for talks at the top office.

Kim Ju-young, president of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) and Choi Jong-min, acting president of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU), will both meet with President Moon.

Labor Minister Kim Young-joo and Economic and Social Development Commission Chairman Moon Sung-hyun will also attend.

Among the major labor issues to be covered during the meeting are reducing working hours, job sharing and enhancing workers’ rights.
