The number of employed people in South Korea grew by more than 300-thousand in September.
According to the monthly employment data by Statistics Korea on Wednesday, the number of people with jobs stood at 26-point-eight million last month, up 314-thousand from a year earlier.
The on-year growth increased by more than 300-thousand for six straight months before falling below the mark in August.
South Korea's overall employment rate posted 61-point-three percent last month, up three-tenths of a percentage point year-on-year.
The country's jobless rate reached three-point-four percent, down two-tenths of a percentage point from a year earlier.
The unemployment rate for young people, aged between 15 and 29, came to nine-point-two percent, down point-two percentage point from a year earlier.
But the real jobless rate for young people, which includes discouraged workers, rose zero-point-two percentage points to 21-point-five percent. The figure is the highest to date for September since relevant statistics began being recorded in 2015.
