The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) again renewed its record high on Tuesday, closing the day at two-thousand-484-point-37. 

The KOSPI rose by four-point-32 points or point-17 percent thanks to a continued strong performance by Samsung Electronics and net buying by private investors. It's the fourth time for the main bourse to renew its record high in less than a week. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eleven-point-10 points, or one-point-68 percent. It closed the day at 670-point-51. 

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-132-point-five won.
