The Dominican Republic has apparently become the world's second largest market for used Korean cars.

The Korea International Trade Association and various industry sources said Friday more than 14-thousand second-hand Korean cars were shipped to the Caribbean nation between January and July.

Only Libya had a higher demand, with importing about nearly forty-one thousand Korean used cars during the same period.

Shipments to the Dominican Republic have been on an upward trend in recent years, growing from just under six-thousand cars in 2014 to nearly 23-thousand last year.
