North Korea has criticized Washington's flight of strategic B-1B Lancer bombers near its eastern coast, calling the move "dangerously reckless behavior".
 
The North's state-run propaganda outlet Uriminjokkkiri said Friday that the sortie of B-1B bomber squadron was an extremely dangerous act that will only fuel the regime's desire for revenge.
 
It said the recent flight was designed to drive up the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the extreme and that the move was an anti-Pyongyang provocation that cannot be overlooked.
 
The statement comes six days after the U.S. bombers and F-15 fighter jets flew in international airspace above the East Sea as a show of force against Pyongyang's continuous provocations. 
 
It is speculated that the regime had failed to detect the U.S. aircraft hovering near its waters.
