S. Korea's Industrial Output Flat in August

South Korea’s industrial output remained flat and retail sales and facility investment decreased in August.
 
According to the data by Statistics Korea on Friday, the nation’s industrial output climbed zero percent last month.
 
Industrial output stayed flat in June and posted a slight increase of one percent in July but remained flat in August again.
 
Mining and manufacturing production climbed point-four percent on-month in August, and production in the service sector inched up one tenth of a percent last month on-month.
 
However, retail sales fell one percent on-month in August, snapping a two-month winning streak for June and July.
 
Facility investment also decreased by point-three percent in August, posting a drop for the second consecutive month.
