The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday fell five-point-70 points, or point-24 percent, to close at two-thousand-406-point-50.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing six-point-94 points, or one-point-04 percent. It closed the day at 661-point-11.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four-point-four won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-132-point-seven won.
