The annual South Korean shopping festival will kick off next week.
 
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said on Wednesday the ‘Korea Sales Festa’ will run from Thursday of next week until the end of next month.
 
A total of 400 local companies are expected to sell their goods or services during the sales promotion event, up from 341 last year.
 
The ministry said that during the festival overlapping with the ten-day-long Chuseok holiday, significant discounts will be provided for popular products such as home appliances, mobile phones, clothes and cosmetics.
 
A ‘Cyber Hot Days’ event will offer extra discounts for certain products on specific days of the week, while major South Korean online shopping malls will offer goods for overseas customers.
