PM Lee Promotes KORUS FTA in Meeting with Wisconsin Governor

Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon has stressed mutual benefits of the free trade agreement between South Korea and the U.S. during a meeting with Wisconsin State Governor Scott Walker.

Lee pointed out the five-year-old agreement has strengthened the basis for economic cooperation between the two countries and produced reciprocal outcomes.

He asked Walker to support further development of Seoul-Washington ties through the bilateral trade pact.

Walker also addressed positive outcomes of the FTA, such as increases in trade between the two countries and noted Wisconsin is one of the U.S. states that is reaping the benefits.

The governor said he will do what he can to help the two countries advance their relationship by way of the KORUS FTA.
