A major gathering of pharmaceutical professionals from all around the globe has opened in Seoul.
 
The Korean Pharmaceutical Association announced said that the 77th International Pharmaceutical Federation(FIP) World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences opened Sunday at COEX in southern Seoul.
 
The event will run through Thursday and is seeing the participation of roughly 26-hundred pharmacists and people working in pharmaceuticals from 94 countries.
 
Under the slogan, “Medicines and beyond,” this year’s congress will promote a social atmosphere in which pharmaceutical professionals go beyond their existing roles to play the role of partners who help people get healthier.
 
In particular, participants will review each country’s status on prescribing International Nonproprietary Name(INN) medications and seek ways to introduce a system in which medication is prescribed based on active ingredients instead of brand names.
