The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday fell six-point-80 points, or point-29 percent, to close at two-thousand-319-point-82. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, gaining three-point-84 points, or point-59 percent. It closed the day at 652-point-59. 

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four-point-three won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-135-point-four won.
