S. Korea Slips to 18th Among OECD Nations in Economic Growth Rate

South Korea slipped to the lower ranks among advanced economies in terms of economic growth rate for the second quarter.
 
The average quarterly growth rate for members of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) marked point-five percent in the first quarter and point-seven percent in the second quarter.
 
The comparable figure for South Korea was one-point-one percent in the first quarter, ranking eighth among the 35 OECD economies. But it fell to 18th among 27 nations in the second quarter with a point-six percent growth.
