Kookmin Bank Finances Heart Surgeries on 10 Cambodian Children

South Korea's Kookmin Bank said Thursday it has paid for heart surgeries for ten Cambodian children.

All ten are recovering well from the operations, which were carried out recently in South Korean hospitals.

The children are scheduled to return to Cambodia on Saturday, where they'll also receive financial help for their education.

The assistance program launched in 2012 is a partnership between Kookmin, the Financial Supervisory Service and the Salvation Army, and has benefitted 66 Cambodian children so far.
