A court will deliver its verdict on Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong on Friday.
 
The Seoul Central District Court will hand down its verdicts on Lee and four other former Samsung executives at 2:30 p.m. in the so-called “trial of the century.”
 
Lee was arrested and indicted by special prosecutors on February 28th of five charges related to the massive bribery scandal involving former President Park Geun-hye and her longtime confidante Choi Soon-sil.
 
The court will explain the reasons for its sentencing on each charge before reading the final text of its verdict and putting an end to the six-month legal battle between the defendants and the special council team.
