Household Income Again Grows Less than 1% in 2nd Quarter

South Korea's household income grew less than one percent for the eighth consecutive quarter in the three months to June.

Real income, after accounting for inflation, fell one percent, posting negative growth for seven straight quarters.

According to data released by Statistics Korea on Thursday, the country's standard household income came to about four-point-three million won in the second quarter, up zero-point-nine percent from the same period last year.

Household income grew less than one percent in each quarter since expanding two-point-nine percent in the second quarter of 2015.
