S. Korean Market Sees First Outflow of Global Funds in 32 Weeks

The South Korean stock market saw a net outflow of global funds for the first time in 32 weeks last week.

According to the U.S.-based Emerging Portfolio Fund Research on Monday, global funds have pulled a net 55 billion won out of South Korean stocks from August 10th to 16th.

The Korean stock market saw an outflow of one-point-two billion dollars from Asian funds and 300 million dollars from global emerging market funds.

The outflow is seen as a temporary phenomenon for profit taking.
