A new survey finds that two-thirds of people in South Korea are dependent on their smartphones in their everyday lives.
According to the survey carried out by market research firm Embrain Trend Monitor on one-thousand smartphone users aged between 19 and 59, 64-point-three percent of respondents said their everyday lives would see disruptions without their smartphones.
The survey showed that such tendencies were stronger among younger people.
Roughly 73 percent of respondents in their 20s said they feel their lives become disrupted without their smartphones. However, the percentage of respondents in their 30s and 40s who shared the same view stood at around 62 percent and the percentage for those in their 50s was 59 percent.
The survey also found that roughly 61 percent of respondents took their smartphones with them when they go to the bathroom and around 59 percent kept their phones nearby before they go to bed or sleep with their phones in their hands.
