Seoul Urges N. Korea to Stop Aggressive Rhetoric

South Korea is urging North Korea to hold off on further aggressive rhetoric and threats, which run counter to the will of the international community.

Foreign Ministry Cho June-hyuck Thursday called on North Korea to respond favorably to President Moon Jae-in’s proposal for inter-Korean talks on building a permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.

In an especially sharp trade of bellicose statements, Pyongyang responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's threat of "fire and fury" this week by threatening to turn the U.S. territory of Guam into a "sea of fire."
