KOSPI Closes 1.10% Lower Amid Geopolitical Risk Woes

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday plunged 26-point-34 points, or one-point-10 percent, to close at two-thousand-368-point-39.
 
The drop came amid growing concerns over geopolitical risks surrounding North Korea.
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing eight-point-80 points, or one-point-35 percent. It closed the day at 642-point-87.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened ten-point-one won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-135-point-two won.
