N. Korea Threatens to Turn US into 'Sea of Fire'

North Korea has threatened that it will turn the United States mainland into a “sea of fire” if it attempts to disturb the North with nuclear action or sanctions.

The North made the threat on Sunday in an article of the ruling Workers’ Party newspaper Rodong Sinmun.

In the article titled “The U.S. must revise its North Korea policy,” the North said that besides completely dumping its hostile policy toward North Korea, the only choice for Washington is self-destruction.

It said that the more the Trump gang strives to break through today's quagmire, the more it gives reasons for Pyongyang to own nuclear weapons, claiming that a strong war deterrence is the North’s essential strategic choice for national defense.

The Sunday article was printed before the United Nations Security Council’s adoption of new sanctions against Pyongyang, but it could be a prelude to the North’s fierce reaction to the U.S.-led tougher sanctions.
