The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday slipped 40-point-78 points, or one-point-68 percent, to close at two-thousand-386-point-85.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 14-point-43 points, or two-point-19 percent. It closed the day at 643-point-09.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four-point-eight won against the U.S. dollar, closing at one-thousand-128-point-eight won.
