'N. Korea's Missile Provocation to Have Limited Effects on Market'

The government has claimed that North Korea’s second ballistic missile test will have limited effects on the South Korean financial market.

On Monday, the government held a meeting of economy-related ministries to review the missile provocation’s possible effects on the financial market and the real economy, and to discuss potential countermeasures.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Finance Ministry, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Bank of Korea, Financial Services Commission, and Financial Supervisory Service.

North Korea launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Friday toward the East Sea, which is considered a more advanced ICBM compared to the one launched early this month.
