Industrial Output in June Declines for 3 Straight Months

South Korea's industrial output dropped slightly in June for the third consecutive month.

Data released Friday by Statistics Korea showed a tenth of a percentage point decrease in June on the heels of three tenths of a percent and one percent slides in May and April.

This is attributed to the dip in the petroleum refinery and chip businesses.

But consumption proved to have made a turnaround to offset the sluggish production by a growth of one-point-one percent from the previous month.
